Dad Becomes Emotional After Daughters Surprise Him With ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Audition

One dad got the surprise of his life, and on television no less. Nick Edwards was surprised with the opportunity to audition for Britain's Got Talent in 2022 after his mother and daughters showed up during the auditions. He was sitting in the audience with his wife, totally not suspecting a thing! The show recently reshared his audition as an "Unforgettable Audition."

Nick's two daughters, Callie and Savannah, ages 4 and 3 at the time, walked onto the stage accompanied by their grandma. They explained that they wanted their dad, who was sitting in the audience in complete shock, to audition for the show because he is a good singer.

Totally in shock, Nick who only thought he was there to watch the show, went onstage and started talking to the judges.

"He said he'd never do it, so we had to do it for him," his mother explained.

"Over the years, I've lost a lot of confidence in myself," Nick said when asked why he wouldn't audition on his own.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Nick shared that the producers of the show allowed him time to prepare. They "gave me some time to warm up — about 45 minutes in total," he said.

"They gave me my guitar my family brought down on the day, the [producers] said this is the song we want you to sing because we'd seen it on your Instagram," Nick said.

After a time, Nick returned to the stage, guitar in hand and ready to sing a song dedicated to his daughters. He even had the song lyrics on the floor just in case. He told the judges, "Hopefully I'll keep the nerves and crying away while I do this."

"I do remember playing, and in a way my fingers started to get a bit jelly, I remember thinking, 'This is going to be a big moment for you.' I don't want to stuff it up," he shared.

His beautiful performance got him four approvals from the judges.

Way to go, Nick!
