Adam Sandler Addresses Viral Video of Daughter Being ‘Humiliated’ at ‘Luxury’ Store

It’s easy to believe stories about celebrities, even when they may seem outrageous. These are people that we don’t know personally who live completely different lives than we do. Outlandish celebrity stories have only gotten more believable since AI rose in popularity. Now, a random person can create a video where they virtually impersonate a celebrity, tell a random story, and have everyone talking about it in minutes. Actor and dad Adam Sandler is the most recent victim of an AI fake story going viral about an alleged encounter one of his daughters had with a snobby sales clerk at a luxury store.

The video made a pretty serious claim.

In the video, a voice allegedly belonging to Sandler tells a story about his oldest daughter Sadie’s shopping trip to the Chanel store. The audio is laid over a video montage of different Sandler appearances, including talk shows.

He “explains” that Sadie went shopping at Chanel’s Beverly Hills boutique in “plain, casual clothes.” When the 19-year-old attempted to buy the Chanel classic flap bag, which costs $28,600, she was told it was “only for real customers,” the video alleged.

Sandler then claimed that he got his daughter’s message and went to the store himself. He then proceeded to buy 12 bags, which would have cost him over $300,000 to teach the staff an important lesson.

“Real class isn’t on a price tag; it’s how you treat people.”

Commenters were pretty quick to point out that the video was likely a fake.

“This doesn’t even sound like him talking,” one person wrote.

“Adam Sandler does not talk about his daughters except to say how much he loves them and how great they are. He doesn’t talk about them shopping for $28K purses. This is such a rich person’s problem it’s just not something I see Sandler whining about,” another person added.

Another commenter chimed in, saying “This is AI. They aren’t even like that 😂😂 the Sandlers are super humble.”

Adam Sandler denied the incident ever happened.

On February 5, 2026, a reporter from USA Today asked Sandler about the video while he walked the red carpet for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

“That was one of the weirdest, dumbest, 100% made up things,” he said. “It was very odd.”

Sandler told the reporter that one of his friends reached out, asking if the story was true. And of course, he was totally confused by the entire thing.

“I said, ‘What are you talking about? It’s 100% nonsense,’” he said. “I don’t know how that happens.” Safe to say, Adam Sandler has no plans to drop that much money at Chanel anytime soon.
