16 of Abbie Duggar’s Sweetest Mommy-Daughter Moments With Baby Grace to Date

Long before little Grace joined the world, her parents were so excited about meeting their daughter. These maternity photos show their pure joy and happiness, and we love that the sunlight is hitting Abbie's baby bump in just a way that it's like baby Grace is glowing in there. This photo was posted less than a month before Grace was born, and things have only gotten better for this little Duggar family since then.

Grace was born on January 7, and what a wonderful way for Abbie and John David to start off 2020. In the caption for this photo, the proud parents revealed her full name Grace Annette and that they planned to call her Gracie. They added, "We are quite smitten by our new bundle of joy and are soaking in all of her little newborn snuggles!"

"I think our hearts have grown 10 sizes!" the new parents captioned this cute family pic. Grace is Abbie and John David's first child, and if John David is anything like the rest of his family, many more children will probably follow. But there's nothing like the feeling of holding one's very first baby to send a thrill through the whole body. They look overjoyed.

The Duggar family will always be a special part of the TLC family, so it was only right that Gracie make a TLC video debut shortly after her birth. Abbie and John David brought their bundled up little one in front of the cameras so they could talk about the significance of her name.

"Abbie said she liked the name Grace and that's Abbie's middle name," John David revealed. "My mom's middle name is Annette. Grace Annette sounded like it went together, so it was about that easy."

On February 7, Abbie celebrated her daughter's one-month anniversary of being born with a sweet photo. We can just see Abbie behind the camera, quietly clicking away so as not to wake her sleepy girl. "We love our little Gracie girl!" she wrote in the photo's caption. It's hard not to love a baby that adorable.

The best mother-daughter bonds are forged at Target, and Abbie is starting Gracie off young. We're not sure what the two bought, but clearly shopping had Grace all tuckered out. She literally shopped until she dropped. "Love my little shopping buddy," Abbie wrote about the sweet photo.

Grace has a ton of uncles, aunts, and cousins, plus a loving grandma and grandpa, and she got to meet a bunch of them back in February when she was just about 2 months old. She's snuggled up in mama's arms sleeping for the photo, but maybe just because it was a long day of getting to know all her loving family members.

We can guess why Abbie is smiling so big in this photo — her mom must be on the other side of the camera! The new mama doesn't share a ton of pics of her little one, but based on what we've seen so far, Grace seems like a total mama's girl, and we love that. She really is her mom's little ray of sunshine.

The family that matches together, stays together. We love the dedication they have to the University of Arkansas team. They're training Gracie young to be an avid fan, too. There are few things sweeter than photos of a mom and daughter in matching outfits, and this one ranks right up there with the best of them — especially because John David is in it, too!

For Abbie's birthday, the main Duggar family Instagram account posted this adorable shot of Abbie and Gracie. Both mom and daughter look so happy here, and it's so clear that as much joy as Gracie brings her parents. (Gracie gets just as much joy and love from them, too.) They're positively radiant together.

Shortly after her birth, Gracie had a playdate with some of her cousins and Abbie got to hang out with her sisters-in-law. Jessa, Lauren, and Kendra were there with their kids and they probably all bonded over the kinds of things only moms with little ones can. It must be so nice to have such a large support network.

The Duggar fam is known for their devotion to their religion, so Abbie and John David didn't miss Easter even if they weren't able to go to a church service because of the stay-at-home order. Instead, they celebrated in their own backyard and dressed up to boot. Abbie and Gracie's matching floral dresses are too cute.

This year marked Abbie's first Mother's Day as a mom herself. She took to Instagram on the big day to talk about what a blessing Gracie is to her. "Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamt of being a mommy, and now my dreams have come true! Happy Mother's Day!" The two are so sweet together, and Grace is getting so big!

"Just snuggling my little pink bundle on this rainy day," Abbie wrote on this Instagram Story photo. Baby snuggles are great, and baby snuggles on a rainy day? The best. Abbie and John David have been soaking up every moment they can with their little one. Helps that everyone's had to stay home, huh? No distractions from Gracie.

Sometimes the sweetest thing a mom can do is hand her baby over to a relative for a little while to make sure her child is bonding with all her family members. Jana Duggar, John David's twin, got some sweet auntie/niece time with little Gracie not long ago. "Her parents think I come over to hang out with them," Jana teased in her photo caption.

Baby Grace joined her mom for a tour of the nursery for a TLC video. Abbie made sure her little one was all dressed up for the big moment, in a cute bunny shirt and hair bow. Her nursery is so cute, with the crib being the best part. Grace has so many soft stuffed animals and an adorable pink rose blanket and sheet set. We wish we could go back in time and have this be our childhood bedroom, too.
