What was your favorite childhood toy?
Paint. I would paint anything I could get my hands on: paper, cardboard boxes, furniture, dolls’ faces, and, once, the ceiling in the upstairs hallway of my parents’ house. (That last one did not go over well.) I wish I could say that I turned out to be a brilliant painter, but, nope. I did marry an artist, though.
