Alexis writes over at AMERIKAW! – a blog centered around motherhood and design. Her education is in interior design but has recently teamed up with her husband to create a line of goods for children called General Public, which is set to launch in early 2015. She advocates for attachment parenting and believes in the power of mothers supporting each other. When she’s not chasing her toddler around you can find her dreaming up something else to create.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Hands down, Barbie dolls. I created families, step-families, adopted children, you name it. Each one had a first, middle and last name with an entire backstory and probably a social security number. It was very serious business and I embarrassingly played make-believe with my dolls until I was about 12 years old.
