Can the planets predict your mom type?
The way we parent is a combination of our own experiences and a healthy dose of our hopes and dreams for our children. While our mom style may be driven by intent (and a lot of parenting books), there's also an astrological component to how we raise our kids. Find out how our birth signs contribute to our child-rearing choices.

Aries
March 21 – April 19
The "Cool" Mom
While Aries is a natural leader and incredibly self-assured, they are also super awesome parents (in their child's eyes). This sign has the ability to be in control while also letting loose and having fun. True to ram nature, Aries moms don't back down when it matters, but they have the insight and compassion to raise their kids in a way that honors their individuality and youthful spirit.

Taurus
April 20 – May 20
The "Take No Prisoners" Mom
If parenthood was a battle, Taurus moms would win the war. They don't put up with any sh*t and will raise their children with clear, defined expectations. These moms tend to be incredibly competitive and want their children to be the best, but will be the first one at their bedside snuggling and comforting them when times are tough. They may have an iron fist when it comes to motherhood, but they're all heart when it comes to their families.

Gemini
April 20 – May 20
The "Fitness Guru" Mom
Active, social Gemini moms love living a healthy lifestyle and nothing is more important to them than getting their kids on their energized bandwagon. These moms will frequently play with their kids outdoors and be up to date on all the "healthy eating" trends. Their kids may not like the spirulina smoothies their mom makes them drink each morning, but she is charming enough to convince them it's delicious to their bodies.

Cancer
June 21 – July 22
The "Keep You Safe" Mom
Overprotective Cancer moms are most likely to wear their babies long after toddlerhood comes knocking. These moms are nurturing and willing to break their own backs to give their children the softest possible landing in life. Although this crab sign can be snippety when they're stressed, their devotion to their families is unsurpassed.
*Also most likely to volunteer in the classroom/scouts/sports (you get the picture).

Leo
July 23 – August 22
The "Don't Make Me Tell You Twice" Mom
Leo moms have high expectations for themselves and for their children. They are powerful leaders who have zero patience for excuses, bad behavior or mistakes. As far as a Leo mom is concerned, if she told you to do something, it better be done or else you're in big trouble. While these lionesses are loving and protective of their children, they are not too soft to scold them when they're not living up to their full potential.

Virgo
August 21 – September 22
The "Indulgent" Mom
Worrisome Virgo mothers tend to use rewards as a confirmation of love. This stems from their anxiety that they are not doing a good enough job as parents. They are most likely to say yes to whatever their child asks for, while reminding their little one, over and over again, how much they love and adore them.

Libra
September 23 – October 22
The "Security Guard" Mom
By nature, Libra mothers are not typically helicopter parents. However, their need for fairness and balance in the world causes them to overreact to situations where their child (or anyone else's) is treated unkindly. They're most likely to annoy other parents on the playground, at school and basically anywhere because they will speak up to any misbehavior, whether or not it's their child.

Scorpio
October 23 – November 22
The "Negotiator" Mom
Smart Scorpio moms may have sharp tongues, but when it comes to their children, they often try to avoid confrontation. This mom is not ashamed to use bribery, trickery or even flat-out falsehoods to get their child to do what they need them to. If a child even thinks to call their mom out on her ways, though, these scorpion ladies will sting their child into submission.

Sagittarius
November 23 – December 21
The "I'm Here But I'd Rather Be Elsewhere" Mom
Sagittarius mothers have a really hard time with the day-to-day mundane aspects of life. Since they are inherent wanderers, when they are stuck in one place, they tend to daydream and let their minds travel to faraway places. They love their children deeply, but are counting the seconds until they're old enough to take on an adventure.

Capricorn
December 22 – January 19
The "I Can Do It Faster Myself" Mom
Capricorn mothers have one speed, and it's full-throttle. These goat moms work hard and know that the quickest way to get anything done is to just do it themselves. This translates into them doing their children's chores, science projects and typing their reports. While their intentions are well-meant, this inability to let their child work at their own pace can teach them that they're incapable of doing tasks on their own.

Aquarius
January 20 – February 18
The "Gwyneth Paltrow" Mom
Earthy Aquarius women have naturopath souls and a deep desire to shelter their children from anything they consider toxic. These mothers are most likely to breastfeed for extended periods, to grow and produce their own organic baby foods, and have a hyper-relaxed response to their children's misbehavior. While their kids may love this "anything but GMOs go" lifestyle, they may take advantage of their free-spirited mothers.

Pisces
February 19 – March 20
The "I'll Love You Forever (and Ever)" Mom
Sensitive Pisces is intent on making sure their children know how deeply loved and cared for they are. This water sign is devoted to the emotional wellbeing of their little ones and will do everything they can to make their children's childhoods magical. Their only flaw is that they tend to over-express their own feelings and can make their children feel overwhelmed in the process.
