A dad in Brazil is getting absolutely roasted on social media because he fainted while his wife was having a c-section. Maicon Pedroso is never going to live down the embarrassment, because we all know, the internet is forever. The video is quickly making its way around social media, and for good reason. It feels wrong to kick a man when he’s down, but there is something else to the teasing. A c-section is major surgery, and people seem to forget that. His reaction is also a testament to just how intense both the procedure and experience is.
His reaction was quite a surprise.
Pedroso was at the hospital in Criciúma, Brazil with his wife on April 18, 2026, the Daily Mail reported.
He was in the delivery room with his wife and holding her hand throughout the procedure. But as the doctors took the couple’s daughter out, he fainted. Video of the moment shows him beginning to black out while a woman in scrubs grabs him under the armpits.
The woman was then helped another person as they gently lowered the dad to the ground, lifting his feet over his head to help him regain consciousness.
“I don’t remember anything at all from the moment the baby was born,” Pedroso told local media, the outlet reported.
Everything seemed fine…until it wasn’t.
Patricia Vogel and Viviane Borges, birth photographers who were present at the time, were surprised at Pedroso’s reaction.
“When we arrived, they were a bit anxious, but everything was going as expected,” the women said. “It was all happening in a light, calm way, with the medical team feeling very confident and the parents too.”
Maicon Pedroso fainted at 8:24 a.m., the exact minute his daughter was born, according to the women. Thankfully he recovered quickly and was able to be with his daughter.
“We’ve been exclusively dedicated to birth photography for five years,” the women told local media. “We’ve documented more than 1,500 births, and this is definitely a scene we’ve seen happen a few times before.”
There was no way Maicon Pedroso was going to escape the comment section unscathed.
According to the Mirror, a video of Pedroso fainting has racked up tens of thousands of views. Naturally, people took way too much pleasure in turning him into the subject of their jokes, and honestly, I get it.
“Women don’t realise how tough it can be for the father. Stay strong, warrior!” one person wrote.
Another person teased, saying the dad was “stealing the spotlight.”
Someone else poked fun at the situation, saying, “Imagine having seven layers of skin cut away and your husband saying in the background, ‘But I had it worse because I fainted.’”
The video is spreading like wildfire on social media.
Many accounts are sharing it, and of course, the comments do not disappoint.
