Two Single Moms With 6 Kids Under the Age of 9 Move In Together & People Can’t Get Over It

I can still remember the day my wife and I explained to one of my son’s friends that we were both the mom in our family. “I wish I had two moms,” she said wistfully. That was the first, but certainly not the last time someone said something like that to us. For many kids, having more than one mom is a dream — it’s more love, more support, and more of the things moms have to offer. But you don’t have to be in a romantic relationship to give your kids the same experience. Two women on TikTok are showing how they’re joining their families together for maximum support.

One of the moms decided to share their story on social media.

Hannah explained that she and her friend Alanna decided to move in together. Each of the two moms have three kids under the age of nine, she explained.

“Have you ever seen what happens when two moms raise a family together?” she asked. “It’s not chaos, it’s coordination. It’s not missing something, it’s doubled. Double patience, double protection, and double love.”

“There’s no ego in it — there’s no power struggle. Just two women who understand what it means to carry weight and they split it.”

So many people praised the two moms for making this choice.

“And that’s why we should live in a matriarchy,” one person wrote.

Someone else added, “let’s normalize this content and lifestyle.”

Another commenter shared that they had a similar idea. “So interestingly I’m working on plans to have rent homes to 2-3 single mother families together as a transitional house. And I always have feedback that there will be so many issues. And this just gives me hope that my program WILL work! Because you’re absolutely right!!” they wrote.

“I’ve been joking w my bestie about doing this but now Im serious,” another commenter wrote.

Others shared that the model of two women raising kids together can and does work.

People shared their experiences with the two moms in the house model, and everyone had nothing but good things to say.

“As a gay mom, our daughter has 2 moms and that’s exactly how our household functions. Whether LGBT+ or straight single moms, the vibe is ideal,” one mom wrote.

“I have the best memories of mum and her best friend living together with two kids each,” someone else shared.

“As someone who grew up with two moms, this is approved and backed up!” another commenter wrote.

“My sister and I did this same thing…. We raised 5 kids together for 18 years. They are now 23+ years old now. Best thing we ever did!!”

A lot of people suggested their story would make a good television show.

It was amazing how many people believed that the two moms’ story would make a great sitcom. It definitely would, mainly because it already did!

From 1985-1989, a sitcom called Kate & Allie aired on CBS and focused on two divorced friends who share a home together in New York City with their three children. It was a super popular show, and it showed people what was possible many years before anyone would actually consider doing it.
