Meet our new gear experts, Gigi Jack and Nina Tooley, who set out to create a new kids' retail model with the motto "Give thoughtfully, but let us handle the thinking." Go ahead and say it: "Hallelujah!"
When the moms and former coworkers realized there was no go-to place online for well-curated, beautifully wrapped baby gifts and great service, they launched Little Lamma, a concierge-service-meets-boutique where you can text your needs, et voilà: a gorgeous set of goodies arrives on a lucky doorstep across the globe. (In select locales you can even Postmates them!)
With backgrounds in fashion, marketing, creative direction and art, the dynamic duo helm the boutique while raising a set of two boys and a set of two girls, respectively, which has obviously served as excellent experience when executing on a buy. Tooley has it in her blood, too. Her mom owns the shop Maison et Cadeaux in Sun Valley, Idaho, which was actually the original spark for the women's venture.
"When I was younger and going to a million baby showers, I would text her for help with gifts and she would text me back with my options," Tooley recalls. "I’d pick my favorites, she’d wrap them up with the most amazing wrapping, charge my card on file, and send them to my house. Every time I brought one of her gifts to a shower, all of my friends would ask where I got it because the presentation was so beautiful. It was the easiest and most fun shopping experience and I was lucky enough to have access to, since I was working so much at the time and didn’t have time to put a lot of thought into shopping."
One pass through the ladies' wares and you'll be saying, "Thanks, mom!" too, lol!
