Let's not talk politics for a second. Instead, let's focus on Anthony Weiner's very serious problem of not keeping it in his inbox. With the most recent chats, genital pics, and yes, a remorseful press conference, Anthony Weiner is in our face yet again. Even worse? His long-suffering wife, Huma Abedin, was forced into making a statement as well. And where was baby Jordan Zane during this press conference?

I'm not suggesting that Weiner and Abedin's baby boy can't be cared for by a nanny, a relative, a pre-school, or otherwise. I'm suggesting that perhaps that child care could be put to better use than taking care of Jordan while his parents have to go in front of the cameras to defend dad's sexual misconduct. Am I the only one that can't understand why Jordan's birth (soon after Weiner's initial fall from grace) didn't serve as inspiration to his father to get help, and stay off Twitter? Something, incidentally, most of us probably thought was happening given Abedin's interview with People last July.
Had Weiner not decided to jump back into the political ring again, Abedin would not be in this position.
"It took a lot of work to get to where are are today, but I want people to know we're a normal family," Abedin said. "Anthony has spent every day since [the scandal] trying to be the best dad and husband he can be," she says of her husband, who does all the laundry. "I'm proud to be married to him."
Well, he's doing the laundry, so there's that.
Listen, daddy's got to pay the bills (although mom's high profile position is probably what's keeping the lights on these days), and he has to go to work. But choosing to put himself in the high voltage spotlight of a New York City mayoral race was bound to unearth his very recent (last summer, when Jordan was probably beginning to crawl around their New York pad) sexcapade. Had Weiner not decided to jump back into the political ring again, Abedin would not be in this position.

Obviously Weiner needs help. This compulsion is something that is destroying his life, his family's life, and certainly reverberates to everyone he's around. It's time to get that help, and focus on being a father, a husband, and a decent human being. The mayor's office is not going to help anyone, least of all your little boy. Stay home, Anthony and take care of your family. And let Abedin go back to what she should be doing as a working mom, instead of an apologist for your continued missteps.
