At the beginning of the summer my husband and I decided that we wanted to try for another baby. It was not a decision that we came to lightly since I had always said that after two kids I was "done with babies". In my mind, two was a magical number and besides that, we already had a boy and a girl. What more could we want?
Well, much to the excitement of my husband, I ended up having a change of heart. I got my IUD taken out and then we worked on making a baby… and waited. This was the first time I had ever "tried" to get pregnant in earnest, so I definitely felt anxious during the waiting period. But, here we are a few months later… PREGNANT! (Perhaps thanks to a few of these things I did to inadvertently "jinx" myself into getting pregnant.)

I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with Baby #3 and we are all pretty excited about it. My daughter is insistent that we're having "a girl baby" and my son likes to point to my belly and say "baby!" repeatedly. It was fun surprising all of our friends and family this time around, which we did by putting our son in a Big Brother t-shirt. It really threw people off and it was funny watching the wheels turn in their heads. It was sweet and simple.
Obviously my son was suuuuper into it.
I will note that finding a Big Brother shirt that is small enough for a 16-month-old was a bit of a challenge. I guess a lot of people space their kids a bit further. These two are going to be 23 months apart. My daughter and son were two-and-a-half years apart and that half a year definitely makes a difference.

I'd be lying if I said i wasn't slightly terrified about this new endeavor, but I know we'll figure it out as we muddle through it and we are excited for the whole lot of love (and crazy) that is coming our way this May!
I can't wait to share the journey!
