Summer is here! All the sunshine, bright blue skies and carefree vibes of the season have us totally inspired. In fact, we were just thinking that the entire season can offer up some pretty solid summer baby name inspiration. There are lots of beautiful aspects of summer and summer vacations that we can draw from to come up with some very pretty names for baby girls.

Even if you're not expecting your baby this summer, it's a great time to begin your search for the perfect name. When we think of summer, we think of the beach, warm nights, plentiful sunshine, and frankly, a good time. Don't all of those things just make you feel joyful? With that in mind, we've put together a list for all of the parents out there still on the hunt for an inspired name for your baby girl.

Afraid to commit to a summer name in case your baby ends up being more of a spring-vibes kind of girl or has more wintery moods? Don't fret — changing your baby's name is actually more common than you might think.

"My daughter’s original name was Juliette, but it was officially changed to Luna shortly before her first birthday," Colorado mom Megan Christianson told The Washington Post. "While Juliette was always my favorite girl’s name, I started getting the feeling it was not her name in the later stages of pregnancy. When she was born, it was clear to me that she wasn’t Juliette."
