Totally Fun Baby Shower Games for a Couples Shower

Baby showers with both spouses are more popular than ever, so to keep everyone’s attention you may want some great games. The trouble is baby showers are notorious for having games that no one actually wants to play. But don't worry, we've got you covered. While traditional baby shower games may skew more toward a female audience, here are some games that both women and men will have fun with — and not groan about having to play.

Stroller Race

Nothing gets a party going like some good competition, especially with items the guests of honor will need for the baby anyways. Before the party, the host should set up some obstacles (a hose, chairs, kid toys, pillows, etc.) along the race "course" for the "drivers" to avoid. Each driver should take an umbrella stroller, two at a time, with a baby doll strapped to the stroller. Once the host says, "Go!" the drivers race through the course to get to the finish line the fastest with the baby still strapped inside. You can add to the game by deducting points for crashing, hitting obstacles, going off-course, or losing the baby doll.

Guess Who

Ask all of the guests to send a photo of them as a baby before the shower — this could even be a part of their RSVP. Print out each photo and attach them to a posterboard with a number on each photo. Hand out paper and pen at the shower for the guests to guess who they think each baby is. The guest with the most correct answers wins the game.

Baby Bump Twister

Getting the expecting mom's point-of-view is always an experience. This is great for coeds because while anyone can play Twister, the question is who can play while “pregnant”? Essentially, your guests will play Twister with a blown-up balloon stuffed under their shirt. Then, a host will call out what the players have to do to see who can hang while “expecting.”

The Price Is Right

We all know that having kids gets expensive, but our guests may not know exactly how expensive. Hold up a photo of some popular baby items with specific quantities, like a box of 96 diapers or a four-pack of glass bottles. Each guest should write down what they guess to be the price, and whoever gets closest without going over wins that round. This could also be fun pitting two teams against each other to see who can get the most right guesses.

Guess the Name

Fill a diaper bag with essential baby items like a bib, bottle nipple, diaper, baby brush, etc. Hand each guest a piece of paper and a pen. Pass the bag to each guest and ask them to touch and feel the things inside the diaper bag then write what they felt on the paper. The guest with the most correct items after two minutes wins the game.

Baby Bump and Pop Race

This game is great for a large group of coeds. The goal of the game is to see which team can get their “baby bumps” blown up and popped first. Each guest will get a balloon and line up into even teams of four or five people. When the game starts, one person at a time from each team will race to blow up their balloon and put it under their shirt, and so on. Once the entire team has a “baby bump” the first person begins to try and pop their balloon. Once the balloon is popped, the next person goes until everyone's bumps have popped. The team that blows up and pops their balloons first wins the game.

Baby Sketch Artist

No one knows which parent the baby will resemble more, but it's always one of the first comments a new parent hears. Ask each guest to sketch their own view of what they think the baby will look like using markers or crayons. After all of the pictures are done, the couple can look at each photo and choose the best photo for the winner. To make this game a little more enticing, blindfold the artists while drawing and make it harder on them — and more entertaining to watch!
