NICU Nurses Re-create Taylor Swift’s Iconic Album Covers With ‘Fearless’ Preemies

Earlier this month, Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, posted a series of photos that might just be the most heart-melting images we've ever seen. According to the hospital, two Taylor Swift–loving NICU nurses recently got the idea to dress up some of the preemies in their unit in outfits inspired by Taylor Swift's various albums. And let's just say, the internet cannot get enough of the cuteness.

The two Swifties at the center of it all were Olivia Horne and Allison Harris

People reports that the two NICU nurses were working a night shift with respiratory therapist Leah Landa when the subject of Taylor and her Eras tour suddenly popped up.

As the three women sat there, listing off their favorite songs, they also started to wonder which songs would make it into her upcoming Nashville concert and what they might wear to one of her shows.

From there, a brilliant idea was born

What if they dressed the NICU babies as little Taylor Swift fans — each with an outfit inspired by one of her iconic albums?

"The nurses immediately started envisioning what every Eras costume would look like and which baby's personality would best match each one," a press release from the hospital stated.

Ultimately, they dressed up 10 babies

And, just as they'd planned, each little one had an adorable costume inspired by each of Taylor's 10 albums: Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), Reputation (2017), Lover (2019), Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020), and Midnights (2022).

The hospital shared the photos on social media on May 5.

"Ahhh, my [heart]!" one person on Facebook commented. "These sweet babies are special."

"Ok stop, this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen," added someone else.

The photos certainly are precious

In the photos, the babies are dressed up in blonde wigs made of yarn, designed to look similar to Swift's trademark mane. Notably though, the outfits they're "wearing" are really just paper cutouts of various looks designed by the nurses, which were then gently placed on top of them for the shoot.

Just check out this little cutie who wore a costume inspired by one of Swift's most iconic albums, Red.

Then there were the costumes inspired by Swift's recent string of hits

Like her back-to-back COVID-era albums, Folklore and Evermore, which were a little gift to our ears during the pandemic.

And, of course, her most recent album, Midnights, which brought us modern classics like "Anti-Hero "and "Karma."

There was even a nod to Ed Sheeran, one of Swift's most famous collaborators. In fact, turning one of the boys in the NICU into a mini Ed Sheeran wound up being kind of perfect.

Clearly, the power of Taylor Swift transcends all ages

The fun little dress-up series not only cheered up the NICU parents who are patiently waiting to take their little ones home, but it also brought a smile to the NICU staff whose ongoing devotion to the babies in their unit can't be denied.

"Our Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown NICU Babies are fearless and we are so thrilled they have a place in this world," the hospital wrote in its social media post.

By the looks of these little cuties, "fearless" doesn't even begin to describe it.
