Dad Hilariously Narrates His ‘COVID Baby”s First Trip to the Mall and It’s Spot-On

Anyone born before 1990 can surely remember the cinematic classic that was Look Who's Talking?, starring John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. But we're willing to bet that few have ever attempted to reenact the hit comedy themselves. Apparently, that's exactly what one hilarious dad did on TikTok recently when he narrated his son's first trip to the mall as though he was voicing the toddler's inner monologue – and apparently, he took inspiration straight from the film.

'Look Who's Talking' was originally voiced by Bruce Willis

But Willis doesn't actually appear in the 1989 film at all, though. Instead, he narrates the comical inner voice of Mikey, a little boy born into the world unexpectedly after his mother Mollie (played by Kirstie Alley) has an affair with a married man.

Though Mollie thinks she's about to raise her son as a single mom, she unexpectedly crosses paths with a New York City cab driver named James (played by Travolta), who winds up becoming a surrogate dad to little Mikey — and one of the first men that Mollie can actually depend on.

In his now-viral TikTok, King Keraun (@kingkeraun) admits he took this idea and ran with it

"I got the idea from Look Who’s Talking," the 35-year-old actor told TODAY.com. "I thought it would be fun to get inside my kid’s head."

The TikToker, whose real name is Keraun Harris, told the outlet that he took his son, Keraun Jr., to an indoor mall in Los Angeles and filmed the trip from the toddler's perspective. Later, he added a voiceover track with what he imagined his son to be thinking and, well, the rest is history.

“My dad took me to the mall so that I could be stimulated because he says I’m a COVID baby and I need to see the world," the voiceover begins. "And MAN it was crazy!"

As little Keraun wanders through the mall, everything amazes him

The lights, the "magic moving stairs," and even the ladies with no heads (AKA the mannequins) were something to marvel at, and this 2-year-old wasn't about to let any of it go unexplored.

At some point, Keraun Jr. had so much fun that he winds up losing his shoe, which then sparks his next big adventure: getting new sneakers!

What follows next is pretty hilarious

Little Keraun manages to almost go swimming in the mall fountain, chow down on a Sbarro's pizza slice, and steal a stranger's soda.

But when his dad said it was time to go home, he decided to show him who was in control by pretending he forgot how to walk to delay their exit from the mall. (Genius!)

Unfortunately, though, that didn't work.

The adorable clip is both endearing and hysterical

No wonder it already has 11.7 million views!

In the comments, people can't stop laughing at how funny and authentic the video feels.

"This is hilarious," one person wrote.

"Him losing his shoe is the ultimate 'been with daddy' sign," quipped someone else.

Another said they loved how Keraun Jr. "just threw his pizza on the floor to get somebody [else's] drink."

But most of the comments seemed to revolve around "COVID babies" and just how much this video seemed to articulate the "wild side" that most of them have.

"Those COVID babies are different," one person noted.

"I teach preschool and this is EXACTLY how all 20 of them act," another person said, agreeing that "COVID babies" are indeed different.

"My 3-year-old went to the mall for the first time last week," someone else shared. "Never again. I'm terrified for COVID babies to be teenagers!"

(Honestly, if they're anything like they are as toddlers, we're thinking COVID teens will probably be a riot.)
