We all have a vision of the kind of mom we want to be, but it's not until we're in the trenches of parenting that we learn what kind of mom we actually are. It turns out our place in the zodiac has a lot to do with how we raise our kids. Find out if astrology has your mom-type pegged.

March 21 – April 19

Aries is bold, a little brash and all about having a good time. As a mom, this headstrong star sign is goofy, silly and playful (as long as they're not stressed out). It's not uncommon for Aries moms to say totally hilarious and semi-inappropriate things in front of their kids, which leads to toddlers with impressive (adult) senses of humor.

April 20 – May 20

Taurus is known to carry a load much larger than their shoulders when it comes to parenting. This highly devoted star sign is the center of their families and the biggest contributor to their family's well-being. They're not just caring for their kids (and doing it well), they're keeping the house clean, holding down a job and making sure there's plenty of time for snuggles.

May 21 – June 20

Gemini moms need a fine balance between personal time and family responsibilities. This highly active star sign has a lot of energy, both mentally and physically, which means they are likely to schedule lots of activities for the kids while seeking out opportunities for self-fulfillment. Downtime is likely to make this on-the-go mom extremely antsy and impatient.

June 21 – July 22

Nurturing Cancer moms are all about the cuddles. This emotionally sensitive sign is particularly good at caring for younger children who are dependent upon them. Although Cancer moms can be stern (especially as their kids get older), they have nothing but the best intentions for their families. This sign has to have downtime from motherhood or they're likely to burn out.

July 23 – August 22

All Leo really needs is a good, long nap. This easily overwhelmed star sign has an endless resource of great ideas, but limited mental energy to bring them to fruition. Children are awesome (especially their own), but Leo is not prepared to cater to kids 24/7. With a strong and supportive partner, this lion sign can take as many cat naps as necessary to be the strong, protective mom they're meant to be.

August 23 – September 22

Virgo moms are some of the most put-together in the zodiac, causing a lot of mom envy. Don't let the outer facade of perfection make you think this maiden-sign doesn't battle anxiety or worries about their choices. Virgo moms often overanalyze themselves and their decisions, but since they're incredibly proud, they don't want others to know their inner struggle (hence the great hair and matching family outfits).

September 23 – October 22

If any mom in the zodiac has a side hustle, it's Libra. These loving, compassionate moms are masters of balance and using their time to their advantage. Since Libra is a high-achieving sign, they won't be satisfied until they've explored every option and taken advantage of every opportunity to make a little extra cash or further their careers while raising happy, healthy little ones.

October 23 – November 22

Scorpio moms are some of the most creative moms around. These dynamic, skillful mothers are able to turn any experience or situation into something artistic and meaningful. These scorpion moms may be fiery-tongued when they're angry, but in their sweet spot, they're getting their hands dirty, making memories with their little ones.

November 23 – December 21

Sitting still isn't for Sagittarius moms. These big dreamers like getting out and experiencing life firsthand, and they want to share their love for adventures with their children. Pisces moms have a deep reservoir of love and tenderness, making them some of the most patient and easygoing moms in the zodiac. While these fish-sign moms can be somewhat lax with their parenting style, they balance it with lots of one-on-one time, helping their kids grow into compassionate, even-keeled adults. They'll also be well-dressed because Pisces is drawn to style.
