Add a White Tee
Styling a miniskirt isn't rocket science. For a casual vibe, throw on a plain white T-shirt over your skirt. It can be fitted or have a looser feel. Pair yours with flat sandals; if you want to make your look a bit dressier, heels work, too. Keep your look simple with a delicate necklace or make it more fashion-forward with a chunky statement necklace.
Make It Conservative ... Kind Of ...
Miniskirts by nature aren't conservative, so don't expect to wear yours to dinner at the White House no matter what you do to it. But if you want to make sure the rest of your body is a bit more prim and proper, pair your mini with a button-up blouse. Want to take it a step further? Top it with a blazer.
Wear It With Boots
This look isn't for the shy. If you want to edge your outfit up, thrown on a pair of boots. Make it a little less out there by pairing yours with tights. Or instead of tall boots, opt for ankle booties. Your boots can be sky-high heels, wedges or flats. Pick what makes you comfortable. But slip yours on with your miniskirt to take a trendy fashion-forward step.
Cover It Up
Don't completely cover up your mini, of course, but if you're feeling a little shy, pairing yours with a longer top worn over your skirt is a fantastic option. Just make sure you're still showing a couple of inches of the bottom of your skirt. Try a long tee, blouse, boyfriend sweater or blazer to pull this off.
