How to Find the Right Jeans

Step 1

Make the least of your thighs with trouser-cut jeans adorned with a full leg, which creates the illusion of length. The user-friendly, boot-cut style denims are also fine for balancing out a curvier lower half. Go for dark wash in either style jean — it's definitely a solution to slim your legs.

Step 2

Try on a high-waisted pair of denims if you want to bring out your curves. If you pick a pair that has a high waist and a wide leg, it will also work. Tuck in your shirt or wear one that comes to your waist to get the full effect.

Step 3

Don a pair of straight-leg jeans if you want to lengthen shorter legs. Straight-leg jeans won't work well on everyone, however, especially if you have curvy thighs. In case of curves, look for a boot cut or more relaxed fit.

Step 4

Go skinny in the jeans if you dare to wear them. Pick a pair with a bit of stretch built in for control, as well as a longer hem to create length. Pick dark washes if you are curvy. Choose lighter colors if you are more straight up and down.

Step 5

Bring some balance to your hips and thighs with some flare. Although not quite a bell bottom, these type of jeans can add style to your wardrobe while drawing attention away from fuller areas.
