The approach of fall is not only reserved to weather and sartorial transitions. With cooler temps and the autumnal atmosphere, our beauty routine also requires some changes. In addition to sticking to our tried-and-true go-to items, introducing some new or rediscovered products is a way of welcoming the new season. Here, our editors spill on what they are holding dear to their hearts come the changing of leaves.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, $26

"I'm obsessed with these! The colors are so rich and vibrant and the darker shades will look so good for fall. They stay on forever and the fat pencil tip makes it super easy to apply. It also has an amazing creamy finish so you don't feel that horrible cakey lipstick feeling."

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, $44

"This is on every 'best of' list for a reason — it's lightweight, moisturizing but not too moisturizing (I get the oil-free version) and offers the perfect amount of natural coverage. The best part: It actually blends into my Asian skin!"

Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub, $13

"This is my favorite grocery-store find! It smells heavenly after the end of a long day and makes your skin feel like a baby's bottom. Use it on the body or face for any of those days you need a little pampering (perfect for colder days)! Just watch out: It does make your tub slippery afterwards. I love that it's all-natural and uses hydrating ingredients like avocado, almond oil and green tea extract."

Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Hydrating Lotion, $65

"I absolutely love this hydrating day lotion because it has SPF and no tint. Perfect to layer under foundation or wear alone."

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Honey Berry, $24

"This is a beautiful warm nude color that looks great on everyone and is a perfect way to make a statement. I love all of Bite Beauty's products because they go on so smooth and make your lips more hydrated as the day goes on. And they are only made with all-natural ingredients so their claim to fame is you can actually eat them!"

Balenciaga B. Rollerball, $25

"This perfume has a woodsy, deliciously deep smell that is totally the opposite of sweet. It's the perfect scent for the coming season. And, I love being able to carry it around wherever I go and the price is perfect!"

Aesop Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream, $49

"Obsessed with this! I had no idea camellias had nuts, but this stuff smells great. It isn't greasy and leaves my skin super soft."

Bobbi Brown Eyeliner in Violet Night, $25

"I don't follow trends in makeup. I like what I like. A woman at Sephora got me hooked on this creamy deep purple eyeliner. It's got a bit of sparkle. Love it."

Soaptopia RUBalyptus Good Rub, $11

"The eucalyptus scent is a great pick-me-up in the morning. The scrub moisturizes beautifully and I love that the company is local!"

Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer, $49

"This creates a silky smooth surface on your face while also providing SPF protection and stimulating collagen production. Natural minerals also brighten skin tone for that 'I really just woke up like this' glow."

NARS Lipstick in Red Lizard, $27

"If you're looking for a full-on red lipstick, look no further. The bold offering provides a pop of color that complements your face no matter what season. It's as great in the fall as it is next to sunny summer skin, and stays on longer than you can say, 'It's 5 o'clock already?'"

Rodan + Fields Unblemish Clarifying Toner, $41

"This freshens your face without the pain or resulting dryness. This alcohol-free formula mixes alpha-hydroxy acids as well as antioxidants to help unclog pores and soothe breakouts. It's a calm refresher after your morning and nightly face wash."

JINsoon Nail Polish in Nocturne, $18

"Anyone who knows me knows I love working gray into my look. The JINsoon Nocturne nail polish is a chic and adaptable color for fall. Its metallic finish makes the dark gunmetal color gentle—a perfect combination to pair with outfits of classic fall colors. Plus, JINsoon formulas are long-lasting, chip-proof and are formulated without harsh chemicals."

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow in Pink Brown, $21

"It is a classic warm fall color that's matte brown with pink undertones. The long-lasting, gel-powder formula is so versatile. You can use it as a crease color or transition color for the eyes, to smoke out the lower lashline, or even as a bronzer."

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox Bouncy Hydrating Gel, $48

"I have incredibly sensitive skin, so I'm always on the lookout for a good moisturizer or skin gel. Too oily of a product and my skin breaks out; too intense and my skin dries up like the L.A. River. This new cucumber hydrating gel is lightweight and oil-free; it refreshes, detoxes and calms all skin types by preventing water loss and hydrating the skin with vitamins A, C and E."

Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Cleansing Cloths, $15

"These oil-free makeup removal wipes are awesome because they cover three bases: they exfoliate, clarify and refine pores. They have a pleasant eucalyptus scent and the package has both a sticker seal and a plastic cap so the wipes won't dry out like other brands that only have the sticker seal."

Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Riviera, $22

"This sheer red, shimmery lip gloss is my go-to. I have it in about five or six different colors, but the red is my favorite for fall. It's just the right shade that can take you from the office to date night, and it also layers well over lipstick without getting sticky or drying out."

Philosophy Time in a Bottle Duo, $89

"This daily anti-aging serum comes in a small bottle, but don't be fooled — it actually lasts a long time. The serum contains no parabens and is meant for daily use. It's the perfect middle-of-the-road anti-aging serum for women in their 30s and it won't break the bank. Buying the duo of the serum and the eye serum is the best deal (the regular serum runs $75 alone; the eye serum runs $60). The eye serum contains no parabens or sulfates and is very gentle, but I notice the difference in the darkness of my undereye circles if I skip several days. I couldn't live without these two products!"

Fresh Rose Face Mask, $62

"It's pricey, but so worth it. I always slather on this cooling gel mask during a skin pamper session on Sunday night. It calms my skin and hydrates beautifully. I swear I wake up glowing on Monday morning and my skin just looks better and rejuvenated for the coming week. It smells lovely and has rose petals inside. Obsessed."

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy, $17

"I always swipe this on when all else fails. This will be my go-to nude shade for fall as it's the perfect medium between pink and brown. It makes my lips look fuller and leaves them feeling super soft. It complements any day or night look and it's also non-drying, unlike most matte formulas."

Lorac Unzipped Palette, $42

"I love my browny mattes and shimmers for eyes, but there's something a bit more interesting about a neutral palette with pink hues infused and I think it also helps open up the eyes more. This palette is a collection of the prettiest rosy brown shades that'll be fun to play with for fall and winter. Plus, Lorac shadows are so amazingly buttery and pigmented!"

Ardell Brow Defining Kit, $13

"Full brows are totally the rage (thanks to Cara Delevingne!) and now those of us who may have overtweezed their arches can easily recover beautiful brows with this all-in-one kit. The best part? Full brows instantly make you look younger — no needles required."

Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Cream, $62

"A hydrating and corrective cream that also protects against harmful UV rays with a SPF 30 means that this light-as-air moisturizer is the first thing to touch my face in the morning after getting out of the shower."

Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Ballet Twist, $9

"I can't be bothered with gloppy lipsticks that find their way all over your face before the day is over, which is why I love a stick-type balm with just a hint of color. This version in blush pink can be smoothly reapplied as haphazardly as you would Chapstick and look refreshed all day long—without a hint of gooey stickiness."

Baby Foot Peel, $25

"Sure, it's easy to hide calloused alligator feet in fall shoes and boots, but Baby Foot's chemical peel is an easy way to keep feet soft through the colder days."

Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Dry Roll-On Oil, $15

"Dry roll-on body oil is heavy-duty moisturizing without the greasy shine of other oils and great for arms and elbows made scaly from fall jackets and sweaters. It's also great in a pinch for lines left from unintentional summer sunburns. Pacifica has half a dozen scents to choose from, but the coconut nectar is what will remind me of summer. (Close second: Pacifica's Tahitian Gardenia)"

Moroccan Oil Treatment Original, $44

"Aragon oil has had its moment, I realize, but I love the versatility of the original oil: it tames fly-aways, leaves my hair shiny (but not greasy/dull) and minimizes hair-dryer and flat-iron damage. Plus, it's like the best smelling scent out there."
