Nina Garcia’s Winter Beauty Must-Haves

Ready for Primetime

During the winter months, after I put the kids to bed, one of my favorite things to do is to curl up and watch good TV. And there is some great TV this year. My two current obsessions are Downton Abbey (which just returned) and Game of Thrones (I am eagerly awaiting its return on April 6). As I watch, I often wonder, “What products do they use to make their skin look so good?” (If any of you have seen the glowing skin on women in Game of Thrones as they traverse through all kinds of harsh weather, you know what I’m talking about.)

These are some of the products I have found that help me through the winter months as I fight the good fight to maintain hydrated, television-worthy skin … and attempt to remain patient for spring and April 6…

These products aren't just for use in the winter months, but it’s a good time to start. Choose the regimen for your skin type and see why so many swear by this all-natural skin care line. I like VBeauté It Kit, Arcona Basic Five Regimen, and La Mer the Moisturizing Lotion.

For Frizzy Hair

SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner is another item that is for both moms and kids. This all-natural product will take dry, damaged or frizzy hair, and it will make them soft, silky and manageable. I also love Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. Just a few drops of this oil will penetrate your hair to strengthen, smooth and deep-condition. Add it to your ends after styling for some added shine.

For the Lips

There are several lip products I love. I've told you about Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 before, but it is worth repeating. This is my go-to balm to soothe chapped or cracked lips. I use it liberally on my children and myself. Another product I swear by is Caudalie Lip Conditioner. It keeps lips soft and supple and it smells wonderful too. I am also a big fan of Fresh Sugar Advanced Lip Therapy and Clinique's All About Lips.
