Chrissy Teigen mom-shamed for how she feeds her children

Most of us know better than to go up against Chrissy Teigen on social media—but some people just don't learn. Mom-shamers have tried to take her down for bottle-feeding her son, Miles, and also for breastfeeding him. And some people even suggest she's giving her daughter, Luna, wine. Her response? "Yeah she gets wasted and sleeps all through the night."

Mom shamed by daughter's dentist for breastfeeding

When her 9-month-old daughter became fussy in the waiting room at the dentist's office, Tiffany Elliot did what most breastfeeding moms would do—she nursed her. In turn, she got this response from her elder daughter's dentist: "OK, I'm uncomfortable and whatever you are doing there needs to stop!" while motioning around her chest with her hands frantically."

Khloé Kardashian mom-shamed for putting a head wrap on her daughter

Hating on the Kardashians and Jenners is its own cottage industry, so the amount of mom-shaming any one of them receives comes as no surprise. Perhaps it's how minuscule the issue can be—such as Khloé Kardashian putting her daughter, True, in a head wrap. What's just an adorable (and on-trend!) accessory is called-out by haters as Kardashian being "ashamed" of her daughter's hair.

Kylie Jenner mom-shamed for going to Coachella

One of the quickest ways to draw the ire of mom-shamers is to appear to have an adult social life when you also have a newborn. So, when Kylie Jenner posted photos of herself at Coachella, one with the caption, "I'm not a regular mom, I'm a cool mom," the knives were out almost immediately. Trolls even took to her Twitter feed a month earlier to suggest that a woman with nails like Kylie's couldn't possibly be changing diapers.

Kim Kardashian mom-shamed for so many things, including how her daughter looks

And then there's Kim, who is scrutinized as a mother of three almost daily. She can't straighten her daughter North's hair, or let her wear makeup. It's so commonplace that Kardashian refers to them directly: "Relax, mom shamers, it's coming off in a few minutes," she said after posting a photo of North wearing lip gloss.

Jessa and Jinger Duggar mom-shamed for just about everything they do

Like the Kardashians, people love to hate the Duggars. And it's just as pointed at Jessa and Jinger. Why? Because mom-shaming is the social media trend that just wouldn't go away in 2018.

Here's to hoping 2019 will be a kinder, gentler year for all you moms out there.
