A Look Inside: My Daughter’s Nursery

Welcome to the first post of "A Look Inside." I LOVED putting together my children's rooms and I know many other moms get equally excited about it. Part of my job as a lifestyle photographer allows me to spend time in nurseries and kids rooms, and I just love how each one is so unique.

I see so many moms who put so much time and thought toward their child's first room, the space where their little one will grow and learn and spend their early years. "A Look Inside" will show you the details of these rooms, real rooms styled by real moms, to give inspiration and ideas for decorating your own.

I thought it would be fitting to show my daughter's room for the first post. Her room is simple but I just love the feeling I get when I am in it. It's a mix of old and new.

One of my favorite things about her room is the amazing evening light that comes in her window. My husband chose the wall color and I was really surprised by what a great job he did. It wasn't a color I would have chosen, but now I just love it and the bright warm feeling it gives the space.

One of my favorite Pinterest finds was using the IKEA picture ledges as bookshelves for little kids.

I will end this little tour of her room by showing one of my most favorite photos of her and her brother when she was a newborn. I know there will be many more memories to be made in her little space. Thanks for looking!
