It was only a matter of time before Jessica Alba and her baby-lifestyle brand The Honest Company would dabble into home furnishing—and what better way to start than to design baby's cribs? From one L.A.-based philosophy-driven company to another, The Honest Company teamed up with Babyletto, a children's furniture brand that offers safe, eco-friendly homeware, to create an exclusive collection of cribs and dressers. With The Honest Company's environmentally conscious and socially responsible mission, the relationship of the two brands seemed to be a no-brainer.
Inspired by midcentury design, the collection is modern, classic and functional. Offered in coral, navy, white and weathered gray, the 4-in-1 crib can convert to a baby crib, toddler bed, daybed and full-size kids' bed—keeping in mind of each stage of growth. The matching dresser comes with a removable changer top and three spacious drawers.
"Midcentury design is beautiful in thought and execution," Alba told My Domaine. "The organic shapes and elegant lines connect with the body and communicate so efficiently. Midcentury designers were modern in thinking, inspired by nature and global cultures, which I totally connect with."
Not only are these cribs adorable, but they also do good. With its Buy One–Give One program, for every crib sold another one is donated to a family. Honest also offers classes on sleep safety. Sourced from renewable and sustainable materials, each crib is hand inspected and assembled in California.
Seeing how beautiful and practical these are, we can't wait for the beauty line to launch this fall.
