In the past few years, pancake art has become all the rage — people can make Disney princesses, stunning landscapes, and portraits of real people out of pancakes! It’s incredibly impressive, but it’s also completely unattainable for most of us. That said, even the most artistically challenged parents can make adorable pancakes for their kids. Looking for an easy but cute (and recognizable) character to make out of pancake batter? Look no further than Mickey Mouse!
Here’s how to make Mickey pancakes that your kids will love!
Step 1: Gather Ingredients

First things first, get your ingredients together! (Actually, we lied, the first step is to get yourself a big cup of coffee.) Don’t worry, you don’t have to make pancake mix from scratch — the boxed stuff will be perfectly fine.
Step 2: Make Batter

Next up, mix all your ingredients together to make your pancake batter. If your kids want to get involved in the cooking process, ask them for their help stirring the batter!
Step 3: Make Some Test Pancakes

Before you dive into making Mickey shaped pancakes, make a few testers! This will help you test the consistency of the batter and the temperature of the pan. (This is also the perfect time to “test” the flavor — a.k.a. eat a quick breakfast.)
Step 4: Make Mickey

Once you’re happy with the batter and pan temperature, start making your Mickey pancakes! Start with a big scoop of batter for the head, then add small amounts of batter for the ears. It might take a few tries to get the shape down, but give it a few goes and you’ll definitely get it.
Step 5: Serve The Pancakes

When all your Mickey pancakes are ready, serve them up with butter and maple syrup. To make this a well-rounded breakfast, don’t forget to add some berries or other fruits!
While your kids are chowing down on Mickey pancakes, don’t forget to turn on Mickey Mouse Funhouse on Disney Junior so they can watch all their favorite characters!
