This cocktail hails from our friends at Blind Barber, a fully functioning barbershop and speakeasy in Los Angeles. Upon entering the classic barbershop from the street, some of the best stylists for men are using alcohol-inspired products like 90-proof pomade made with hops and watermint gin facial cleanser. For the rest of us (and those not in need of a cut), head towards the back where a hallway leads you to this secret drinking spot for those in-the-know. A menu full of classic Prohibition-style cocktails plus creative, seasonally driven drinks means this welcoming bar has something for everyone.
For Happy Hour this week, their expert mixologist Justin Fix served up a Roswell — a delicious, spicy-sweet combination of tequila, pineapple and jalapeño that is perfect for transitioning into fall. Choose a Reposado tequila which has been aged a minimum of two months — it rounds out the drink and pulls out caramel and vanilla flavors when mixed with pineapple. The recipe below is for a single drink, but this recipe works beautifully for a party in a punch bowl.
