Florida Vacation: Unique Activities Kids Will Love

Everyone loves a chance to get away, relax, and explore new locations. For a great family vacation, which includes activities for the kids, it doesn’t get any better than Florida. With beaches, national parks, an incredible food scene, and amusement parks, every family member can find sunshine, together. Here are a few great options:

  • Collect Sea Glass: Hit the sand and start beachcombing for sea glass. For even more fun, turn it into a family competition — see who can find the biggest piece, the smallest piece, or the most interesting color. Although you can find sea glass on beaches all across the state, head to Navarre Beach on the Gulf Coast for some of the best pickings.
  • See Alligators: Head to an alligator farm to see the iconic reptiles up close. They’re fascinating creatures, so prepare to learn a lot.
  • Learn All About Space: Head to the Kennedy Space Center to see a real space shuttle, touch a moon rock, and try astronaut food. Both kids and adults enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience.
