If you’re a dedicated follower of hair trends—gulping down the latest styles from the runways with the same relish as your baby drinks her milk—you’re in luck this season. Best of all, the biggest hair trends are all about quick and easy, from super-simple slicked-back look to ponytails of all shapes and sizes. Let’s take a look at the 10 trendiest styles this season.

Ponytails: Low & Messy

“A loose low ponytail always looks chic,” says Raphael Reboh, master stylist and owner of Femme Coiffure Hair Spa in Miami Beach. He's tamed the manes of Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and Claudia Schiffer. “It’s also a very low-maintenance look.” Nice to know your bedhead, on-the-run look is now in style!

Style it with: Unite Beach Day Texturizing spray (Unite, $18), which gives volume and sheen to deliberately tousled locks.

Ponytails: Sleek & Slick

If you have more than the 30 seconds it takes to style your low messy pony, spend another minute or so pulling your hair back into this sophisticated, slick ponytail. The key to its polished look is using a product that gives your hair some shine with staying power.

Style it with: Matrix Biolage Agave Nectar Control Gel (Sleek Hair, $15) followed by Matrix Exquisite Oil treatment (My Beauty Buy, $20). Your hair will stay in place, get well-nourished and smell deliciously tropical.

Braids

Channel your inner Edelweiss with a sleek braid, slung over one shoulder. “Just because you're a busy mom doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style and beauty,” says stylist Jane Carter. This look is quick but stylish for moms on the go.

Style it with: Jane Carter Solution Hair Nourishing Cream (Jane Carter Solution, $22), an extra-light hair finisher to keep your braid shiny. (You can also use this versatile product as a daily hair protector and moisturizer as well as a repairer for dry hair. It’s especially good for extra curly and moderately curly hair.)

Slicked Back

This is another mom-friendly look. It's similar to the sleek ponytail, but in this style your hair is polished on top and hanging loose below. Flip your head over, blow dry the top for just a minute, then add product and pull it back. You’ll need a product with a lot of hold, as this style is all about keeping it sleek.

Style it with: NeuStyling Clay (Neuma Beauty, $21), which gives your hair definition and lasting control without weight.

Super Glossy

Yes, this look is very shiny … but it’s also a good way to deal with your hair when you haven’t had time to wash it. So what if there’s a bit of oil in your hair—make it even shinier and you’re right on trend!

Style it with: L’Oréal Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil (Ulta, $7). This will keep your hair shiny and soft until you get the kids to bed and can soak in a nice, soothing bath.

Messy Wavy

“For fall 2013, I love messy wavy hair,” says Reboh, “especially pulled off the face into a half bun.” This is great if your hair is naturally curly: You don’t have to do much at all and you’ll look like you just stepped off the runway.

Style it with: John Masters Organics Sea Mist Sea Salt Spray with Lavender (John Masters, $17), which contains natural sea salt so your hair will get the same kind of extra body you love after a day at the beach.

“Big oversized curls are a great look for fall,” says Reboh. “They are very easy to create—just separate hair into sections and curl with a 1-inch curling iron.”

Style it with: Finesse Curl Defining Mousse (PharmaPacks, $3). This will help your curls stay bouncy and shapely for longer (and it smells great, too).

Loose Center Part

One of the most mom-friendly hair trends is the center part, swinging loose and free. Just add a bit of product, brush and go. You’ll need a really great cut without too many layers for this to work.

Style it with: Pantene Pro-V Thick Hair Smooth Blow Dry Crème (Soap, $6), which is great on all weights of hair, whether you’re blowing it out or not. It’ll keep your hair free from frizz and looking healthy.

Even though Gisele is one of those women with the kind of body that bounced back into impossibly trim shape about five minutes after giving birth, we still love her. And her hair always looks great, too. “Get this look at home by exposing the warmth in your hair with painted-on highlights,” says colorist Linda Ciana of the Ciana Beauty Center in Malibu, Calif. “This will accent the beauty of your face and give you the perfect glow for fall.”

Style it with: Clairol’s Frost and Tip kit (Drugstore.com, $12). It works on all hair tones and is fun to play around with.

We're suckers for bangs. They're a mom’s best friend, since they hide wrinkles for a lot less money and bother than Botox. This shag is also a lovely way to look stylish while you’re growing out your hair.

Style it with: Alterna Anti-Aging Seasilk Oil Gel (Sephora, $28), a yummy hybrid of a treatment oil that still gives the texture and definition of a gel. It'll help keep your shag from looking, well, shaggy!
