If you’re like me, the thought of dressing up your kids in coordinated costumes is simply adorable. And if one of those kids is a baby, the cuteness factor rises exponentially. I particularly like the idea of dressing up my second child (who just turned 1) as the sidekick for the main character (who is 8). Here are some ideas that'll make any sibling pair stand out.

Dorothy and Toto
You can find both costumes at Wizard of Oz Costumes. I love the idea of dressing up a baby — especially one who isn’t walking yet — as a puppy!

Snoopy and Woodstock
I found these costumes at Walmart and on Amazon. Since both costumes are warm and fuzzy, they would work well for kids living in colder climates.

Strawberry Shortcake and Pupcake the Dog
Strawberry Shortcake costumes are abundant online. I couldn’t find any costumes for Pupcake, but you could easily use a Dalmatian costume instead.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Timothy the Mouse
There is something just too cute about kids dressed up as cartoon animals with big ears. I found both costumes on eBay.

Dora and Boots
These would work particularly well if your older child is a girl and the little one is a boy. Dora the Explorer are readily available at Halloween superstores and online. If you’re having trouble finding a costume for Boots, you can always substitute a regular monkey.

Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat
My baby acts like a monkey, so why not dress him up as one? Here, the little guy would be the main character (Curious George) and the older one would be the secondary character (the Man with the Yellow Hat). This idea works particularly well for two boys.

Little Miss Muffet and the Spider
It’s easy to make costumes for these nursery rhyme characters yourself (gingham dress and bonnet for Miss Muffet, black clothes for the spider and black nylon stockings stuffed with cotton balls for its legs). I also found costumes for both characters on eBay.

Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket
Costumes for these two pals can be found on numerous sites online. Since Pinocchio wears shorts, this idea may work best for kids living in warmer climates.
