Step 1
Lay the garment on a flat surface, with the side to be silk-screened facing upwards.
Step 2
Measure the width and length of the garment. Write down the measurements.
Step 3
Divide the length and the width measurements in half.
Step 4
Using the half-width and half-height measurements from Step 3 as coordinates, place a piece of masking tape in the center of the garment where the two measurements intersect. This is the center of the garment.
Step 5
Measure the width and length of the design. Write down these measurements.
Step 6
Divide the length and width measurements of the design in half, just as you did with the measurements for the garment.
Step 7
Using the half-width and half-height measurements from Step 6 as coordinates, place a piece of masking tape in the center of the design where the two measurements intersect. This is the center of the design.
Step 8
Place the design on the product, matching up the two tape marks to center the design.
Step 9
Remove the tape before proceeding with the silk-screening process.
