Barbie has turned in her predilection for ball gowns and has gotten a modern makeover just in time for Paris Fashion Week.
Reimagined by none other than sartorialist master Karl Lagerfeld, this new Barbie incarnation now sports his signature sleek look, complete with skinny jeans, fingerless gloves, black clutch and sunglasses. Barbie Lagerfeld (as she is known) officially goes on sale on September 29, priced at a cool $200.
Only 999 of the dolls have been made and will be exclusively sold in select Karl Lagerfeld boutiques, at Colette in Paris, and online at thebarbiecollection.com and Net-a-Porter.
