A mother of two girls, a three-year-old and an eleven-month-old, Elizabeth Mathis knows the importance of balancing motherhood and work. As an actor with credits such as Tron: Legacy, _CSI: Miam_i and Law & Order: Criminal Intent under her belt, and an impressive portfolio with Wilhelmina models, Elizabeth still makes time to show her girls all that Los Angels has to offer. 2. What do you love about the city you call home?
The absolute best part of living in LA is the weather! I grew up in Michigan, went to college in Chicago and started my career in New York. LA is a much needed change of pace!
3. How does the city affect the way you parent?
LA has an abundance of farmer markets and outdoor fun. As a mom, I try very hard to incorporate farm-to-table foods in our home and keep my girls active by enjoying all of LA's parks, beaches and outdoor activities.
4. What's your favorite staycation destination?
California has so many amazing staycation places. One of our favorite hotels is The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach. It is super close to LA and they are amazing at catering to families with children.
5. Share one secret place that makes your hometown special.
Honestly, my secret spot in LA is In-N-Out. This goes against my whole farm-to-table rule but it's our guilty pleasure every once in a while. It's not quite a secret place but the secret menu (google it) sure is yummy!
