A Jesus-filled, committed wife, dedicated mama, passionate wedding photographer.
2.) What do you love about the city you call home?
My favorite thing about Houston is that it's such a vibrant and young city. We are constantly finding cool spots and meeting creative people. From family outings to date nights and beyond, there's always something new to see and do.
3.) How does the city affect the way you parent?
Houston is HOT and HUMID most of the time (with the exception of November & December). It's always my goal to stimulate Ellie's mind (indoors). We read books, sing songs, and explore the new things she's learning about her body. (Walking, clapping, silly faces, etc.) Then once a day we muster up the courage and play outside while waiting for Daddy to get home from work.
4.) What is your favorite staycation destination?
Every Wednesday night my sweet hubs gives me a staycation in my house. He takes Ellie out of the house and lets me have free reign. Usually after I twirl in circles of happiness, I sit and listen to the silence, then binge watch television, sleep, & eat a big bowl of good ol' Homemade vanilla Ice cream.
5.) Share one secret place that makes your hometown special.
Our favorite family spot is a plot of land with a fish filled pond that my father-in-love owns. We head down when the weather starts cooling off (to avoid heat stroke) and fish, shoot at (non moving) targets, eat, and spend quality time together with family and friends.
