How to Remove Ink Stains From Laundry

Step 1

Locate the ink stains on each piece of clothing. You have to treat each individual stain if you want to remove all of them.

Step 2

Pour some dry-cleaning solvent onto a clean, dry cloth and use it to blot the stains to stop the bleeding of the ink.

Step 3

Rinse the stained areas of the clothing under running water.

Step 4

Pour some rubbing alcohol onto a clean, dry cloth and dab it onto each stained area. Allow the applied alcohol to air-dry.

Step 5

Cover each stain with a few drops of laundry detergent. Rub the detergent into the stain and let it sit for six to eight hours.

Step 6

Treat each stain with a prewash stain remover. Wash the clothes in your washing machine according to the directions for each piece of clothing. Pour one to two cups of white vinegar into the washer to remove any lingering stains.
