If you are low on closet space, consider using decorative hooks to hang some of your child's favorite pieces of clothing, jackets or doll clothes. You can either string a cotton rope between hooks spaced out along the wall or just go for individual hooks scattered over the wall. Make sure some are nice and low so little ones can hang up their own things.

Shared rooms can be frustrating when space is tight. Create a loft-style bed with room underneath for a crib or toddler bed. It will free up the floor for playtime.
