What. Is. Happening.

OK, so we already knew that all former Disney girls—aside from the late Annette Funicello—get a bad rap. Britney, Lindsay and, to a lesser extent, Christina, I'm looking at you.
But seriously—what's happening? If Britney's not shaving her head and Lindsay's not serving time, Miley is getting caught with her pants down. On purpose. While twerking. With her tongue out. And somehow bears were involved.
Why are Disney good girls going bad? I don't have an answer for you, but here's a rundown of former Disney stars who've made headlines that would not make their moms proud.
Miley Cyrus

Oh, Miley.
Yes, you've got everyone talking—and you even out-Gaga'd Lady Gaga, herself. Even poor Will Smith and his family were unwitting Twitter sensations because of their stupefied reactions to your MTV Video Music Awards, uh, performance. (OK, turns out those reactions really were for Gaga.)
We can understand wanting to ditch the Hannah Montana persona, but what's up with your tongue? Keep that thing on a leash!
Britney Spears

This pop princess went from The Mickey Mouse Club to super stardom faster than you can say M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.
It's after she went through a messy divorce and custody battle with Kevin Federline in 2006 when things went sideways. She shaved her head in early 2007, checked into rehab and was committed to a psychiatric facility in L.A. in 2008.
Spears has since rebounded. She'll release an album and start her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood in the fall.
Lindsay Lohan

Remember when little Lindsay Lohan scored with double the cuteness in Disney's 1998 reboot of long-lost-twins movie The Parent Trap?
The former child star has been featured in the tabloids more for her arrests and court appearances, however, than for her film roles.
Christina Aguilera

The belting singer also known as "Xtina" was among a Mickey Mouse Club crew in the early 1990s that included Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling.
In 2002, she took a turn for the raunchy, turning up the risqué dial with her album Stripped. "I feel sexuality to be very empowering," the mom to 5-year-old son Max told UK magazine Company in 2010.
Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato was set to be a Disney powerhouse kid star, what with her TV movie Camp Rock and later show Sonny with a Chance, offering a promising start to this Dallas-raised actress/singer.
Lovato took a turn for the tabloids in 2010, though, when she entered a treatment facility for "physical and emotional issues," according to E!. That came after an altercation with a backup dancer that ended with Lovato punching her in the face.
Since she completed her treatment, the 21-year-old singer has released an album and appeared on The X Factor as a judge.
Selena Gomez

On the Disney Girls Gone Wild scale, Selena Gomez is definitely on the tamer side. While she carved out a PG-rated reputation as Alex Russo on the channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, the 21-year-old moved into R-rated territory with her role in the drug-fueled 2013 movie Spring Breakers.
Oh, and her relationship with the Biebs didn't help anything.
