Patrick Dempsey may have taken home the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive, but he doesn't hold a candle to Wren Alexander Stephens, who the magazine voted as its 2023 Cutest Baby. And honestly, we couldn't agree more!
More from Mom.com: Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Welcome New Baby Boy Via Surrogate
Wren Alexander Stephen is the fourth and youngest child of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. His arrival took the world by surprise when the family announced his birth in June this year, only months after Teigen gave birth to baby Esti.
" ," she captioned the Instagram post announcing his arrival.
Wren is the latest celebrity baby to take home the title, joining an esteemed group of little boys that include Lauren Conrad's son Liam, DJ Khaled's son Asahd, Michael Phelps' son Boomer, Anderson Cooper's son Wyatt, and Andy Cohen's son Benjamin.
Wren was born in June of this year via surrogate. In Teigen's birth announcement for Wren, she explained that "in 2021, we reached out to a surrogacy agency, with our first correspondence inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogacies, to each bring us a healthy baby boy or girl. Twins, kinda?!"
She then decided to attempt to carry one of the pregnancies and underwent IVF to get pregnant with Esti. They decided that their fourth child would be born via the "most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate," whose pregnancy did overlap with Teigen's for a brief time.
"We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra. And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you, Wren Alexander Stephens," Teigen wrote on Instagram, including a photo of her kissing Alexandra's baby bump.
