Although little had been revealed about Tori's baby, the obituary stated that she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ariana Bowie. As Mom.com previously reported, Tori's longtime agent said the Olympian was excited about being pregnant and had plans to move to Atlanta to raise her daughter.

Tori was also known for loving her family and "enjoyed coming home to spend time with her family."

"Her family was her rock, and she knew if she needed some comfort, compassion, and good southern soul food she could come home, and the elders would feed her soul with anything she desired," her obituary stated.

Up until her death, Tori was studying music, a passion of hers, at Full Sail University in Florida. The 32-year-old was also passionate about giving back to underprivileged children.

Since her passing in April, conversations about Black maternal health have been reignited. An autopsy revealed that she experienced childbirth complications, including eclampsia and respiratory distress, ABC News reports. At the time of her death, she was eight months pregnant and had shown signs of being in labor when her body was found.
