Neighbors say Tori was heavily pregnant at the time of her death
"She was a thin woman, and it looked like she had half a basketball under her shirt," one person said, estimating her to be between seven and eight months pregnant. The 32-year-old sprinter rose to fame after winning several medals, including a gold, a silver, and a bronze at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Other neighbors shared stories of erratic behavior
"I came out of my house one time, and she was standing there in the street clutching a knife and shouting at a man," neighbor Zehra Ugurlu claimed.
"A family friend of mine managed to talk to her and calm her down, but it was scary. It made my daughters uncomfortable," they continued. "Her life was erratic and unhealthy, but I'm very sorry about what happened to her. She was so young. Why didn't her friends help her?"
Tori's body was found during a welfare check

Orange County deputies were called to her Florida home on Tuesday, where they discovered the sad news. The Daily Mail obtained court documents showing that the sprinter had been struggling financially for a while now. Her homeowner's association had taken her to court over $22,000 in delinquent dues.
One neighbor said Tori appeared to be doing a lot better lately
The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said that all of the fighting and yelling from Tori's home had died down. "What shocked me was that she appeared to have gotten much better lately," they shared.
"Having a baby seemed like it had made her happier. That's what makes it so sad – we are talking about two lost lives. It goes to show that you can have fame, success, everything in the world but it won't fix what's going wrong on the inside. She had personal demons, but she was a good person."

Tori hasn't competed professionally in some time
Her last racing event was in 2019 when she competed at the Qatar World Championship. After that, she remained mostly near her Florida home, picking up the occasional modeling job.
Our thoughts are with Tori's family. Losing her at such a young age has to be hard enough, but discovering that she was also pregnant at the time must be absolutely devastating.
