Blake Lively’s Look-Alike Daughter Joins Dad Ryan Reynolds to Cheer on His Team in Wales

It was a daddy-daughter date to remember for Ryan Reynolds and his oldest child, James, as the pair traveled to Wales to watch Ryan's soccer team, Wrexham, take on Sheffield United. While the match was definitely a nail-biter, people couldn't help but be riveted by how cute James looked as she sat by her father's side.

Ryan and James traveled across the pond for the big match

James, who is the spitting image of mom Blake Lively, cheered alongside her dad. The Deadpool star (together with friend and fellow actor Rob McElhenney) bought the soccer club in November 2020 for nearly $2.5 million. Wrexham has had an underdog story, much like the popular Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso, which also features a lovable American who suddenly finds himself in charge of a soccer team.

And just like the series, Ryan's team also has its own TV show.

While the match proved to be a close one — Wrexham ended up losing after a near tie — watching Ryan and his rarely seen daughter in the stands seemed to prove almost as exciting as the action going down on the pitch. At least, that's how Blake felt about what she was seeing on TV.

A very pregnant Blake had to skip the trip overseas — not only is she expecting the couple's fourth child, but she probably had to watch James' two younger sisters as well — so she was forced to keep up with the action by watching the game live on TV.

Apparently, the camera crew noticed Ryan getting a bit stressed about what was happening on the field and captured some of his more animated moments.

She took to her Instagram Stories to share a post about Ryan's experience in the stands.

"I bought ESPNT today. Just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it," she jokingly captioned a clip of Ryan fighting off a panic attack.

"If you're not watching this insane Wrexham AFC game right now you're missing out on these vibes. They're playing a team three leagues higher. And currently winning. Life makes no sense."

The game didn't go the way the team wanted, but it still looked like a good time was had by all

James clearly had a sporting good time with her dad, based on the photos featured by the Daily Mail. And while she didn't quite share her father's enthusiasm for the game, it's clear that she loved being by his side while he went through such a wide range of emotions.

Better luck next time, Wrexham!
