‘Harry Potter’ Star Rupert Grint Built His Target-Obsessed Daughter a Mini Store at Home

Parents will go to wild lengths to make their kiddos happy, and it looks like Harry Potter star Rupert Grint is no exception. This week, Rupert showed off the mini Target he built at his house for his 2-year-old daughter, who happens to be just as obsessed with the store as the rest of us are.

His little girl has spent most of her life in America so far

Though Rupert and his longtime partner, Georgia Groome, are both from the United Kingdom, they've spent most of their daughter's life in America, since Rupert has been filming Servant in Philadelphia.

"She's struggling a little bit with adjusting to UK life. She spent most of her time in America, so she's missing some cultural things," Rupert explained during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

One of her favorite parts of America is Target

Not that we blame her, of course — there is a zen you feel just walking through the aisles, casually sipping coffee from Starbucks and spending way more money than you intended when you walked through those red doors.

"She does love Philly. She loves hoagies, she loves water ice. And I mean the big one is Target. She is obsessed with Target," he said of his daughter, Wednesday. "She'd choose that over going to the park or zoo. But she loves going to different Targets and seeing how the layout is kind of slightly different."

She's a big fan of the toy aisles and looking at the lip balms

When she visits, she doesn't need to buy anything — she just likes to browse, so we really have to admire her willpower. Knowing how much she loves it there, it was hard for him to break the news that the franchise just doesn't exist in the UK.

"It was one of the most difficult conversations, telling her she lives in a country that doesn't have Target. I've shown her our kind of equivalent, but it doesn't hold up," he said.

Could any other store compete? Probably not.

That's why he decided to bring Target to her

On the show, he showed off his creation: The small version of Target that he created for his little girl. It includes a whole checkout station (complete with gift cards for purchase!) and a place to swipe a credit card, and even Bullseye, the Target mascot, was included.

He really didn't leave anything out!

Wednesday is one lucky little girl

Fortunately, it sounds like her father's career will bring their family back to the US plenty, so she'll get to visit her beloved Target at least once in awhile. And in the meantime, she can hang out at her own version of the store at home. We need one of these in our house!
