Pals Robert De Niro and Al Pacino could be spending a lot of time together over the next few years, thanks to their growing families. It sounds like the two plan to add some playdates to their busy schedules, as the veteran actors will both have new babies on their hands. (Someone needs to make a movie about this STAT!)

Robert mentioned the pending playdates during a recent interview
The proud new papa was talking to Extra about his baby girl when he was asked about Al's surprise baby news. Robert, 79, welcomed a daughter with girlfriend Tiffany Chen in April, and now 83-year-old Al is expecting a baby with former partner Noor Alfallah. Given the closeness of the pair — and the similarities between their situations — we knew Robert would be overjoyed for his longtime friend.
Robert was very open to the idea of getting the kids together
When asked about future baby-bonding sessions, Robert smiled and said it was a "good question," before revealing that he and producer Jane Rosenthal had been talking about that very thing earlier in the day.
"Floor play," he elaborated, perhaps as a nod to the fact that the two little ones wouldn't be doing too much running around quite yet.
Robert's and Al's other children are far too old for playdates
Both men already have adult kids. Robert has seven, ranging in age from 51 to 11 (aside from the new baby). Al has three children. His oldest is 33 and his youngest two are 22-year-old boy/girl twins.
While we can't imagine the famous dads getting all of their children together for a play session, we can imagine them having quite the fun family picnic!
Al's baby news was surprising for a lot of reasons
We don't know if Robert and Tammy were trying to start a family together when they welcomed their little girl, but we do know that Al and Noor were not. Sources revealed to TMZ that Al thought he was unable to have any more children due to a medical condition, making Noor's baby news quite a shock for the former couple.

We think Al's and Robert's kids are going to be close thanks to their famous dads
The two Hollywood A-listers go way back and have built personal and professional relationships with each other over the years. We have to imagine that it's exciting for them to both be embarking on this new adventure at the same time. Who knows, maybe it will help their children develop a strong bond, too!
