Not only did she shock fans by showing up to her half-time performance sporting a sizable baby bump, revealing she's expecting her second child just nine months after welcoming her first, but we had absolutely no clue this was even a possibility. She was careful to hide her growing baby bump
The first step to keeping a pregnancy hush-hush is keeping the bump out of sight. In the lead-up to her Super Bowl gig, Rihanna worked overtime to keep hers hidden, according to TMZ. She frequently wore baggy clothes when she and the 280 dancers got together to practice their performance ahead of the big game.

The people with whom the 34-year-old singer shared a stage found out about her baby news at just about the same time as the rest of us did. Rihanna didn't even let anyone see her costume before it debuted on Sunday, keeping the whole event shrouded in mystery until she was ready to share.

Rihanna may have been dropping hints while chatting about her upcoming NFL gig. The Daily Mail reported that during a conversation with CBS Sports, she was asked if she would have any special guests performing alongside her during the show. She responded that she was "thinking about bringing someone."

While talking to Apple Music, she confessed that she's felt emboldened to take on even more since giving birth. "When you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world. You can do anything," she explained.
"And it's important for me to do this this year. It's important for representation. It's important for my son to see that."
This will be the second child for Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky
The couple welcomed their first baby, a boy, in May 2022. While we don't know much about the baby — his famous parents still haven't revealed his name or shared much in the way of photos of him — we're sure he'll be very excited once he knows he's a big brother.
