Golf may be a spectator sport, but that doesn't mean it's hazard free.
Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his teammate Travis Kelce were recently in Las Vegas for Capital One's The Match charity golf game, and one young fan got a little too close to the game. During the golf tournament, Mahomes' ball accidentally bounced off of a young man's side. Although the boy appeared to be just fine, Mahomes signed a golf ball and a few other items for him as an apology, according to a video circulating.

Mahomes and Kelce were in Las Vegas playing in the celebrity golf game against Golden State Warriors Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, and were considered "heavy underdogs." Turns out, NBA star Curry is quite skilled on the golf course, too. But the Super Bowl champs surprised everyone by working on scoring another W.
This year, the game was played to raise money for "No Kid Hungry," which aims to end childhood hunger.
Unfortunately, there's always a chance of being hit by something when you go to a sporting event, even a golf game. And according to a report, Mahomes was hitting fores during the game, which is apparently how one can get hit by a stray ball.
The golf ball hit the young man in the side and bounced, which actually appeared to benefit Mahomes during the game, he joked. The young man seemed to take the hit in stride, likely understanding that it's just something that happens sometimes.
Mahomes and the young man were both good sports about the incident, with Mahomes happily signing a golf ball as well as the kid's match pass. The boy is seen smiling and joking around with the football star, clearly not holding a grudge.
After he finished signing, Kelce came over and signed a golf ball as well. Kelce joked with the kid, saying, "You can play for the Chiefs any day."
That kid will definitely have quite the story to tell his friends.
