Nick Cannon Spills the Beans on Baby No. 13 and His Plans for More Children

Nick Cannon has a lot of jobs, but being a dad probably keeps him the busiest. Cannon is a dad to 12 kids with multiple women, and as of right now, he plans on keeping it that way. In an exclusive interview with People, he made it clear that he's good for right now.

He's feeling good right now

"I'm chilling right now. There's no plans on the horizon as of yet," Nick admitted. "It's so funny, everybody's always trying to get me to have more kids," he went on. "It's like, 12 ain't enough?"

He's not against 13 kids

Nick is dad to twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, Rise Messiah Cannon, and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole. He also shares two kids with Alyssa Scott, Zen, who died at 5 months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and Halo Marie Cannon, who was born in December 2022.

Even though Nick is content right now with 12 kids, he isn't opposed to 13. And while some people may think 13 is an unlucky number, he disagrees. "Thirteen is a good number," he said. "It's definitely a lucky number."

He knows that his life isn't "normal"

"My entire life is challenging. I don't live a normal existence, but I embrace it. I love challenges," Nick said. "I wouldn't say there was one specific thing that stands out more than another. Every day, there's a new challenge, and I accept it."

He's always busy, that's for sure

When asked what is the most fulfilling part of being a parent, Nick said, "Just hearing your kids say, 'I love you, Daddy.' You know what I mean?"

"The first time they say it, whether they're 1 year old or 18 months, to hearing it from your kids that are on the brink of being teenagers, there's nothing better than that," he said. Some of the other "best" moments include "big hugs" and "picking them up from school."
