Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden shared a surprise announcement on Monday, May 4, 2026. The two quietly welcomed another baby, their third together, and shared his very unexpected name, along with a carousel of cards and drawings.
“Cameron and I are happy, excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third child, Nautas Madden,” Benji Madden shared on Instagram.
“Welcome to the world, son!!👊❤️”
“We love life with our family- our kids are healthy & happy, and we are grateful!!! 🙏🙏 Having a blast ❤️ Sending all our best wishes,” the caption continued. In the comments, Cameron replied to the post, sharing five heart emojis and a few sparkle emojis.
Thousands of others left messages for the couple, offering congratulations on the news.
“Biggest cool dad flex with the one piece announce,” one person wrote. “Welcome Nautas to the world, legendary status awaits!”
Someone else added, “Congratulations @benjaminmadden and @camerondiaz you absolutely wonderful people! So so happy for you both 💙”

What does the name Nautas mean?
We’re pretty used to celebrities giving their babies names that are more unique and even ones we’ve never heard of before. Nautas definitely fits into that genre of unique names.
In the Instagram announcement post, the card Benji shared that has their son’s name on it gave some hints to what the baby name Nautas means.
They note the origin of the name being from Latin, the root word Nauta– and list the meaning as “sailor, navigator, voyager, one who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown.”
That’s a pretty cool meaning behind a name!
Cameron and Benji are also parents to two other kids, daughter Raddix, who was born in 2019, and son Cardinal, who was born in 2024, making them a happy family of five.
Cameron, who is 53, and Benji, who is 47, are notorious for being very private about their family. Congratulations to the family!
