
Naomi Osaka is a new mom after welcoming a baby girl into the world a few days ago. The tennis star's boyfriend, rapper Cordae, announced the news during his show at the Calgary Stampede. Naomi and Cordae appear to be settling well into their roles as parents, with a source saying, "They are doing well."

The Olympics posted the news to its site Tuesday morning, noting that the four-time Grand Slam winner previously announced she was taking a break from tennis.
“I am convinced that this baby will push me to try even harder and give my best,” Naomi said, according to tennisworldusa.com.
“I want to win another eight Grand Slam tournaments and try to win the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It's one of the goals that excites me the most about returning to the sport. I took a break, but I always feel very competitive and full of desire to win the most important tournaments in my sport again,” she said.
The couple's newborn, whose name has yet to be revealed, is the first for both the rapper and the tennis star.
"We have been discussing names. I would say that we are going for something more unique than traditional," Naomi told People.
They posted on Instagram back in January, announcing Naomi's pregnancy.
"Can't wait to get back on the court, but here's a little life update for 2023," she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.
The tennis star previously shared photos of her baby bump out in public.
Naomi also previously shared that she wanted to simply be the best version of herself for her daughter.
"Obviously, I've never been a mother before so I'm taking it day-by-day and just trying to be someone that my son or daughter will be proud of," she said at the time.
