We know one person who won't be seeing double in the delivery room: Meghan Trainor. The singer has revealed that she's not in fact expecting twins — much to her surprise. Apparently, Meghan has had an appetite big enough for three during her second pregnancy, which had her convinced that she was going to be welcoming a pair of new babies with her actor husband, Daryl Sabara.
Meghan dished to People magazine about her pregnancy cravings
The "All About That Bass" songstress said she has spent most of this second pregnancy — she and Daryl are already parents to a 21-month-old son, named Riley — craving "crunchy crisps" and trying to satisfy her massive appetite. In fact, she's been so hungry this go-around that she was sure she was eating for more than two!
Meghan's been noshing on Pringles pretty much exclusively
There's a reason why Meghan agreed to star in Pringles' Super Bowl ad this year, and it's not just because she needs to boost her bank account to pay for all those diapers she'll soon be needing. Turns out, Meghan can't get enough of the brand's chips.
"I like my crisps, my Pringles, and I'm not even just saying that," she said. "I dominated some of these. My favorite is the barbecue."
It sounds like this pregnancy has been much different than her first
Many second-time moms feel like they know what to expect, but Meghan said she's been having a mountain of new experiences this time. "This pregnancy, I'm hungry to the point where I was like, 'Is it twins?' But it's not twins, sadly. I wanted twins," she joked.
Meghan had a good reason for thinking she might be carrying two babies
Daryl may be genetically predisposed to that twin gene. "My husband's a twin, and every time I was like, 'Give me twins,' he's like, 'We're not going to do that. We're not going to,'" she shared.
We have to admit that Daryl may be onto something there. Having twins can be a lot of work!
Things have been so different that Meghan may need to write a second book
She's sharing her wealth of pregnancy and parenting knowledge in her upcoming book, Dear Future Mama, which will debut on April 25. But with all the changes that Meghan is experiencing this go-around, she's already considering writing a follow-up.
"The first time, I didn't feel pregnant at all, had zero symptoms, and this one, I got rocked, rocked," she continued. "The first trimester was nauseous, was tired, was migraines. I was like, 'It's the flu. That's what it was.'"
