Matthew McConaughey Is Roasted by Fans After He Gives His Son a DIY Haircut

Celebrity dad Matthew McConaughey has a great many talents, but apparently hairdressing is not one of them. This week, wife Camila Alves shared a photo of Matthew giving their son a DIY haircut, and let's just say that he might not want to quit his day job …

Camila shared a photo of the haircut in progress

In the photo, we can see 10-year-old Livingston in the hot seat while his older brother, 14-year-old Levi, looks on. Matthew's got the scissors in hand, and we can see a pile of hair on the floor.

"Then this happened …," Camila captioned the photo.

Fans are not impressed by his work

The comments on the post were filled with people concerned for Livingston's hair after seeing his dad's skills (or lack thereof).

"Stop it. Seriously, have a professional take care of it!" one person wrote.

Another added, "Sorry, that's terrible."

These people are not holding back!

Others thought it was a sweet father/son moment

More than one person praised Matthew for living simply and cutting his boys' hair at home, while others pointed out that this is a great memory in the making for everyone involved.

"I will never forget the times my dad cut my hair as a child. Years later — well into adulthood — he offered to give me a haircut, as I was between barbers," one commenter wrote. "I felt so safe and loved and relaxed. I took a nap as he clipped away. Those boys are lucky and will remember their dad’s act of love."

Livingston's hair was pretty long before

In a photo that Camila shared in December from a family camping trip, we can see Livingston bent down, helping to build the tent, with his hair flowing behind him.

As far as we can tell, he (and his dad) have always been into keeping their hair a bit longer, but he obviously decided it was time for a chop.

We still haven't gotten to see the finished product

It looked like Matthew was mid-cut in that photo, and so far, he and Camila haven't shared what Livingston looked like when he was done.

We just hope that he was happy with the end result, because that's all that matters. Something tells us that Matthew and Camila's daughter, 13-year-old Vida, probably isn't volunteering to be her dad's next client …
