Marvel stuntman Taraja Ramsess, who was featured in the movie Black Panther as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, died in a tragic car accident that also killed three of his children on Halloween night. His truck collided with a tractor-trailer on I-20 in DeKalb County, Georgia.

While little is known about the crash, which is still under investigation, this is what we do know.
Ramsess was driving his car with his children Sundari, 13, Kisasi, 10, Shazia, 3, 1-month-old Fugibo, and a fifth child who wasn't identified. Taraja was killed instantly, along with daughters Sundari and Fugibo. Kisasi died a few days later from his injuries, and the fourth child was listed as hospitalized.
"All who knew and met him know how special Taraja was. He had a deep capacity for love and loved his children more than all," his mother Akili Ramsess, wrote in a post shared on Facebook.
"He loved his martial arts, motorcycles, and all things related to filmmaking. He had a very droll yet wicked sense of humor & yet could be as cornball corny as can be. Sundari, Sunny as she was called, also reflected that special light. Funny & loved to dance, Oh God! I can’t believe they’re gone! We are grieving and remain prayerful for my grandchildren’s recovery," she added.
A GoFundMe was set up on behalf of Akili Ramsess to help the family with the cost of the tragedy.
"Anyone who knows Akili knows that her greatest joys are her three boys and 10 grandchildren. Her love and devotion to her family knows no limits," the GoFundMe says.
As of Monday, the GoFundMe has raised $88,246 out of the $150,000 goal.
Taraja's longtime friend Tony Tucci spoke to local news affiliate WSB-TV, calling his death a "great loss to this world."
"He was always a family man. They would come and sit and watch him train, and they would jump in and start training too," he said.
In addition to stunts, Taraja worked as a set dresser. Film director Ava DuVernay took to Instagram to pay tribute to the man she worked with several times.
"Taraja. Regal. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of him," she began. "We’d talk about art and his family. My goodness, did he love his children. A happy, whole love. Beautiful to behold… His name is like music. We will continue to sing it. Bless his soul. Bless his memory. Bless his loved ones and the many comrades he leaves here as he journeys on."
