A well-known television personality, journalist, and animal lover, Maria Menounos has joined forces with Bounty, a leading brand in the world of household essentials, to create a heartwarming initiative. During an interview with Mom.com, Maria talked about her collaboration with Bounty and its impact on the lives of shelter animals and their future families.
As a dog mom, Maria knows how adopting a pet from a shelter or rescue organization can leave a lasting impression on a family. Not only does it offer a deserving animal a second chance at a happy life, but it also brings a new family member into a loving home. But Maria said they can also be a reflection of yourself.

“They've become mirrors to us for the things that we needed to work on. I had one dog with a lot of anxiety and I looked at her and I go, oh my God, I think she's me,” she said, adding that they changed her life. “They were my healers, they were my mom's healers through brain surgeries and pancreas surgeries. Boba was there, Max was there. Max has been my biggest protector.”
In addition to being a dog mom, Maria is also a new mom to her baby daughter, Athena. She admits between having a home filled with pets and a newborn, things can be quite chaotic and messy. The star however has found time to soak up every moment, adding that it’s been a bit of a “whirlwind.”
Maria also shared how she introduced her pups to her newborn when they brought her home.
“I made Max smell her blanket first with her scent and Bobo the same. And little by little, we let them kind of see her,” she said. “They’ve been great big brothers and they love her.”
Although she’s quite busy and soaking up those newborn snuggles, Maria is proud to partner with Bounty as an extension of her deep love for animals. She says that this initiative makes pet adoption more accessible, especially during a time of high inflation, and it also raises awareness about the importance of adopting from shelters and rescue organizations.
“Everybody needs a little bit of love,” she said. “And the love that an animal can give you is pure and so special.”
In partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, Bounty, the trusted paper towel, aims to connect pets with a loving home by handling the pet-adoption fees.
“Some animals spend over 500 days in a shelter,” said Bounty Vice President Janette Yauch. “We’re proud to be teaming up again with Best Friends Animal Society in an effort to encourage people to adopt the pets who’ve been at the shelters the longest to get adopted the quickest.”
A leader of the no-kill movement, Best Friends Animal Society is working to save the lives of shelter pets across the country — a mission that Maria says is so important.
During the month of November, families looking for a pet to bring to a loving home will be able to visit Best Friends Animal Society and find their newest companion.
